Music Must Survive the Darkness

In times of trouble, music offers us sanity

It fills us with hope, and it gives us the freedom to press on to brighter days. The Tulsa Opera has thrived for decades on the soul-stirring vocals of those artists who are dedicated to bringing us the beautiful sounds we long to hear.

But when the forced isolation of the pandemic brought the opera world to its knees, many artists found themselves facing the gut-wrenching fear of being forgotten.

But just when hopelessness started to seep into the lonely homes they used only to visit, but now found themselves forced into without reprieve, Tulsa Opera sparked an idea…

The Staying Alive Project

The Staying Alive project called artists around the country and asked them to creatively produce what they could from the safety of their homes and send it to us here at Aqua Vita Creative.

We took careful measures to adapt their precious labors of love to YouTube videos, social media, email blasts and blog posts, to remind us all that music must survive the darkness – and it will!

Music helps us to rebuild our foundation. It renews our strength and fills our hearts with compassion and hope for the future.

Will Liverman: Leaning on the Everlasting Arms

Enjoy the absolutely splendid sounds of Will Liverman singing “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.” We are not forsaken or abandoned. Together – we will prevail. And music will help us to survive.
