Black Excellence Ball & Banquet 2024

There were a lot of reasons to love the Black Excellence Ball & Banquet at Greenwood Cultural Center in Tulsa this April.

Two Booker T. Washington and two McClain High School students received $500 scholarships. Backpacks and school supplies were donated for every child who attends the Reed Community Foundation.

The fashion was ON POINT. The BBQ was amazing. The cake was delicious.

And eight incredible Black entrepreneurs and leaders were honored for excellence in their contributions to the community.

We were fortunate to cover the event with our friend and client, Coach Keith Reed.

When Coach Reed walked onto the stage received his award, you could hear the love from the community as friends and supporters shouted praise, love and good-natured jokes at Coach (“Lookin’ good, Coach!”).

And true to form, Coach was quick to thank and praise others: God, family and friends. And to top it off, he ended with his much beloved phrase: “Thank you for your kindness.”

It was a night we won’t soon forget.
