In the charming little town of Duncan, Oklahoma, there is a gem of history and culture: The Chisholm Trail Heritage Center.
The center chronicles the days of the open range, when cattle moved from Texas to Kansas through Oklahoma. It includes beautiful art exhibits, an interactive theater complete with live storm effects, rides, and more.
However, you wouldn’t have known that from their website. It was difficult to navigate and made it hard for users to find important information. Plus, the brand that had served them well for years was now outdated and didn’t fit with the way the Center was growing.
So, they reached out to us to see how we could help.
The Plan
- Story Branding: The new and improved brand needed to tell the compelling story of the Chisholm Trail at a glance.
- Video Walkthroughs: There’s so much to see at the museum, and we wanted to show that with video to draw their website visitors in.
- Web Design: Their website needed to do a lot: sell products, book tours, accept donations, display upcoming events, and more.

What The Client Said About Us

“Before Aqua Vita, our website had lots of valuable content that no one could find. The branding was old and no longer served the museum well. Their branding services helped us define ourselves to our audience. Integrating social media into our marketing efforts helped boost both online engagement and guest count. Tying that together with a well-designed, easy-to-update website helped us attract more donors and guests.”

Good Memories
- Family Time: We filmed and photographed the Chisholm Trail with our son, who was four at the time, in tow. It was heart-warming to see his sense of wonder as he explored the museum, experienced the storm effects in the interactive theater, and rode the old-fashioned mechanical pony.
- History Deep Dive: At Aqua Vita, we dive deep into the stories we tell, and one of the most satisfying things on this project was learning more about Oklahoma history.
- Duncan Culture: Duncan is one of those towns where everyone seems friendly, the pace of life is a little bit slower, and there’s a sense of peace on the place. We loved visiting their downtown, trying the restaurants, meeting the people, and have returned to enjoy the town several times since.
